Maison Balkii

Maison Balkii is a place of conviviality in Geneva, cozy, refined, and organic. The space is divided into an elegant tea room and an upscale club.

Mandate

Creation and production of a visual identity.

Challenge

Harmonize the logo and the visual identity with the location's design. Convey the "exotic-chic" feel of the place in the branding of the tea room/club. Produce an elegant, contemporary identity in keeping with the spirit of the premises, the owners, and the customers.

Creation

We looked for a way to graphically translate Maison Balkii's refinement and dual function (tea room/club). For this, we worked with a typeface for which the characters of the logo are slightly misaligned, so as to make the latter come alive, as if in motion.

The symbol we have chosen, a branch of stylized tea leaves, adds an organic and contemporary touch. To convey the image of a lively place in motion, we chose a palette of colors that evoke nature and its changing hues, as well as slight variations in the design.

"A menu adorned in velvet to recall the decoration on the walls..."

Available in an animated version for social networks, the logo literally comes alive: stylized tea leaves grow and diminish with the seasons, to emphasize the organic and lively dimension that distinguishes the spirit of the locales. Inspired by the interior design work for the location's decoration, we designed, among others: a display enhanced with gold, colored dots as coasters, a menu adorned in velvet to recall the decoration on the walls.
