Fondation Gandur pour l'Art

2015 — 2017

Annual reports

The Foundation

Established in 2010 by Jean Claude Gandur, the Foundation is a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and gives the general public access to his world-class collections. Based in Geneva, the Foundation's mission is to preserve, document, expand and exhibit its collections at prestigious venues in Switzerland and abroad.

To produce the Foundation's annual reports from 2014 to 2016.

To give these informative publications an artistic character with a view to enhancing its status and influence.

We change cover every year staying in the same tones to create a whole, a continuity.

We based our work on the existing graphic identity to define a new and original format.

The typographic grid was thus based on the proportions of the logo.

…ultimately a nod to "non finito"

For this particular object, we selected a mix of untreated and natural materials to symbolize the Foundation's various collections and bodies of work (archaeology as well as the fine and decorative arts).

We begin with rough cardboard on the outside followed by inner pages and cover in natural paper, contrasting with the fineness of the graphics, effectively providing a nod to the "non finito" technique found in art.

The understated graphics are exquisitely combined with the natural finish. The report opens full for easy reading.
